Day 5 ~ Sketch 5

The 31 Days of Angelosity continue!
And Day 5 brings one of my favorite sketches so far!

As I mentioned previously, I was very lucky to win some cool stamps from "
High Hopes" courtesy of Julie at Paper Pleasing Ideas! This duck and saying are 2 of the naked rubber stamps I picked out. Now, at High Hopes you can purchase your stamps mounted or unmounted, with foam or without. Mine arrived without foam and I gotta tell ya, I was not sure what to do. I really wanted to use them, BUT I wasn't sure how. I called upon my friend Lori who is my "Go-To" gal and she gave me a very cool tip! She said to use double stick tape and tape the rubber onto an acrylic block... which I did. Now, I am sure you may get a better image with the foam, but my stamp worked just fine this way! And I am no longer intimidated by unmounted rubber! YEAH!!!! Here is a visual for you:
And look, it stamped very nicely!
Card Recipe: Card measures 3x6
Stamps: Silly Goose and sentiment by High Hopes, Rough Texture Jumbo Wheel (SU)
Ink: Summer Sun, Only Orange, Pumpkin, Soft Sky, Creamy Caramel, Old Olive, Palette Noir Black
Paper: Whisper White, Textured Soft Sky, Summer Sun, DP by MME "Front Porch" collection
Accessories: Blender Pen, Offray Narrow grosgrain, Junkitz mini felt flower, button and embroidery floss, Stapler
Today I add 27 glittery Chipboard letters to the treasure box!
So far we have:
31 Shaped Eyelets
30 Decorative Brads
29 Envelopes
28 Colorful Buttons
27 Chipboard Letters

Keep those cards coming using the sketches!
And to win the set of cards leave a comment on today's post...Today!
See all of the rules here.
Have a great day! My daughter is on fall break this week and I promised her a girl's day! We're going to lunch and then going to watch a movie. I hope I have time to stamp!
Blessings~~~
Angel

That stamp is hilarious. I love High Hopes stamps and will have to get that one, for sure! This is a great way to count down to your birthday. I'm just sorry I missed the first 4 days, but I did print off the sketches, so I just might catch up!

Enjoy your girl day! Keep your eyes open for ideas, as they tend to pop up in the oddest places. Maybe you can be inspired by the movie for your next card. :o) Thanks for the tip for unmounted rubber. One of these days I'll be brave and give it a try.

Oh my goodness, Angel! Your card is so cute! I love it!!

I use my unmounted stamps the same way with the double-sided tape. Works great for me as well.

What a fun stamp! and cute card!! I use Tack-It over & Over by Aleen's on my unmounted rubber stamps. Its a pressure sensitive liquid glue for a temporary bond.

Once its dry it remains sticky and you can reapply you stamp to your acrylic block numerous times. I store them on a stiff plastic sheet inside a binder. Sticky and ready to use whenever I need them!
