Friends & Flowers

It's Monday and I hope you're having a start to a FABULOUS week!
I've got several projects to share with you this week and time scheduled for more stamping if my MoJo will only find it's way back to my stamp room! (And stay there...LOL)
As many of you know, I belong to a local group called TOPS. These ladies are some of the sweetest women I've ever met. It brings me joy to do little things for them. So, when my aunt gave these little baby food containers to me recently, I knew I had to figure out something to put inside to give my TOPS friends. Candy was my first thought, but since the group is about losing weight, that was not really the best option.
I found some great smelling chunky potpourri at Walmart for only $1 a bag. It's Sweet Pea & Jasmine scented. Mmmmm.

So, I stuffed each container as full as I could with the potpourri and decorated them with various papers, ribbons, punches, flowers and brads. The sentiment "Friends are the Flowers of Life" was perfect for the top.
These 2 containers use those cool Stix2 double sided adhesive sheets and glitters along with my Martha Stewart leaves punch.

Here is a photo showing the potpourri. I think it was just enough to fill a small dish to scent up their bathrooms.
They were thrilled. I'm on the lookout for more little ideas for these gals. They're so sweet.
Anyone have any ideas for me?
That's all for me for now. I'll see you back here tomorrow!
Blessings!
Angel

Glittery Birthday

Don't you love a little sparkle every now and then? My best friend is a girly girl and I knew she'd love a little glitz. So I decided to use a sheet of Stix2 double sided adhesive in my die cut machine with Sizzix "Flower Layers #3". Then I added some micro beads and glitter (Stix2) and layered them up. I think she liked it.The Paper Trey Inc sentiment was a little too long for my Word Window punch so I used a trick I saw online to make it bigger. Here is the link to the tutorial. The layout is an old standby. Gotta love those!
Here is a close-up
.We're having a relaxing weekend as hubby finishes up the last of his leave. I hope you're having lots of sunshine wherever you are too!
Blessings!

Did You?

Did you know?
Allison of
Stampin' When I Can, one of my favorite bloggers, has a Sunday feature called "Suggestive Sunday".
She offers a design suggestion each week and this week was DOTS! I couldn't resist!
Did you hear?
Paper Trey released two new colors last month. Berry Sorbet and Sweet Blush. Two very yummy "gotta have" pinks! For my dotted creation I added February's Spring Moss as well.
Did you see?
There's not much stamping on this card. That little frog, lily pad and flower are stickers! I've been wanting a frog stamp, but I think this sheet of stickers (for only $1) will help satisfy that urge!

More Paper Trey

I had such a busy weekend that I didn't get either of my last two Paper Trey projects posted. Here is one of the 2. It may be a couple more days before the other one gets posted as I fly out to Washington DC tomorrow so I can help my BFF Peg drive down here to Georgia with the babies and Zach. (YEAH!!)

I know I have said this a lot. But I love the Paper Trey colors and all of the beautiful matching ink, papers and ribbons. This card is 4 1/4" square. I'll mail it in a normal card sized envelope however. No need to pay extra postage, right?

More PT

I'm telling you, I could play with my Paper Trey supplies ALL of the time and be happy as a clam. I'll get some variety in here soon however!
This card was very difficult to photograph with my little Kodak camera. In fact, the background doesn't even show up, but I promise it's there. I used the new SU "Stitched" background in both white and Aqua Mist. It's quite subtle. hehehe

Card Recipe~
Stamps: Stitched
Ink: SU Craft white and PT Aqua Mist
Paper: Aqua Mist and Spring Moss
Accessories: SU Corner Rounder and daisy flower punch (retired); The Paper Studio border punch; Rub-ons by Heidi Swapp (white flower) and DCWV (sentiment); primas and decorative brad (?); Fiskars Cloud Scissors

I'm having a difficult day with back spasms. If you pray, please say a prayer for my back along with your fervent prayers for Sarah. Things are still difficult and uncertain!
Our God, however, is powerful and ALMIGHTY.

Many Hugs~
Angel

I just couldn't wait to show you this one.

I absolutely LOVE how this card turned out. I literally JUST finished it. I started it last night. I love to start a project and come back to it hours later. It just flows for me by then!
This card is my submission for
Julee's Mojo Madness Contest. I love Julee's Verve Visual stamps, but have not had the chance to get some of them yet. So, I hope I can WIN them! That would be so cool!
I also made this card to send to
Sarah who has been moved to the KU Medical Center for further care. Please continue to pray for her and her family.
And last, but not least I made it to continue my Paper Trey week!

'Paper Trey' Take 2

Surprisingly, many of the flowers in my stash worked quite well with the two new Paper Trey colors- Aqua Mist and Spring Moss. It's been a while since I used a color that didn't have two words that began with the same letter. hehehe
I had fun layering the flowers for cool looks. This bloom looked pretty enough to stand on its own. So all I did was add a "Congratulations" rub-on.

It's Paper Trey Week!!

When I first laid my eyes on Paper Trey's new Perfect Match Color Collection, I fell instantly in love! I've been playing with it non-stop.
SO, I plan on making this week Paper Trey week!
I'll have a new Paper Trey card every day this week.
And I'll start off the week with Beate's weekend sketch.
I think it looks great in Aqua Mist and Spring Moss.
Whatcha Think??
I bought what I felt was the minimum in the collection, since money is tight. I went with the ink pads, the 12 sheets of cardstock, polka dot and grosgrain ribbons in both colors as well as the 6x6 paper pad. I have a lot to work with and I love it all.

Card Recipe:
Stamps~ All Year Cheer, Stitched Background
Ink~ Aqua Mist, Spring Moss
Paper~ PT White, Spring Moss, Aqua Mist, PT Everyday Blessings DP
Accessories~ Cuttlebug tag and flower dies, Birthday Embossing Folder, distresser, PT Polka Dot ribbon, Border Punch by Paper Studio, DCWV Rub-ons
