Addresses Needed

A few days ago (on this post) I offered cards to the first 5 commenters.
Since there were only 8, I decided to send a card to each one!
SO, sometime in the next couple of weeks, Scrappingdragon, Chery, Rose Ann, Peggy Maier, Missy, Cindi, Tami and Dragonfly can expect a card.
But, I do need your addresses, ladies.
If you haven't sent it to me yet, my email address is to the right.
AND, if you are not one of the above people and you'd like a card from me sometime in the next couple of months, Email me YOUR address and I'll RAK you when you least expect it!Photobucket

Blessed

I've been so very blessed by some sweet people. I love, love, love getting happy mail and I have been very blessed to have gotten some beautiful cards in the mail from some of my best blog friends! Wanna see?
Here is such a cool dimensional "Pull" card from our very own ODBD owner and team captain,
Kelley Holland!

And look here it is "open"!

SO cool!
She sent some way cool embellishments I can't wait to use!

Look at this card my sweet daughter surprised me with!

And she says she isn't creative?

I got this adorable card from the one and only
Rose Ann!

What a blessing Rose Ann is to the stamping community! I LOVE this cute little bird card! And now I really want that Top Note die!! Rose Ann sent me an adorable cupcake stamp I can't wait to put to good use. Cupcakes are all the rage and now I can use them too!!

I've been so blessed to have come to know and love
Nancy Morgan! We may have never actually met in real life, but I feel like I know her and cherish her friendship! Look at this AWESOME card she sent!

Looks good enough to eat, hey?

I have recently been blessed to have found an online friendship with a special lady who lives in Texas. Her name is
Linda and I know she's a blessing to all who know her! She sent me this extra large greeting!

She counted out a flower for every year of my life and guess what?
There were only 29!

As you know I counted down the days til my birthday this year and was thrilled when
Melissa came along for the ride. I bet she's glad she did since she won the whole Pot o' Gold!
BUT, her sweet card arrived after the drawing so rest assured there was no bias!
Thank you ladies for making me feel so loved!

A Sweet RAK

To me, THE very best part of this blog world phenom is getting to know new people. And one of the sweetest girls I've had the opportunity to meet is Nancy Morgan of Paper Smiles.
I "work" with Nancy on both the Divine Design team and the Our Daily Bread design team. She's so very talented and an inspiration to me in more ways than I can count!

I was overjoyed to receive this lovely card in the mail from Nancy this week.... and on one of the most difficult of days no less. Perfect Timing, Nancy! Thanks so much!

RAK

I bought a set from Beate and she was so sweet to include this gorgeous card. I thought I'd share this beauty instead of keeping it all to myself.
Thank you, Beate and I am praying for you today.

RAK Heaven

I have some of the most beautiful cards to show you!
This first one is from my friend Jacqueline from France!
She makes little works of art! I love the card she sent me along with some goodies from afar!

And then there is this beauty from my blogging buddy, Maria. Sweet Maria sent this card because It was "meant to be".
I agree, Maria! It's so ME! I treasure it!

I love EVERYTHING about this Thank You/Anniversary card from the one and only Allison!
From the design to the cardstock to the rub-on to the soft, satiny two-toned ribbon! It's lovely!

My Georgia playmate and Soul Sister, Shelley, whom I love, love, love sent me this card recently. Isn't it awesome? I love it, Shelley!

Andrea of Crafts on a Whim is so kind and generous to send me some Bella images to play with!

And to top it off she sent this super-cute colorful Bella card! Isn't it fabulous?

Last, but not least I received this baby announcement from my sweet, friend and sister, Tracy!

This is the coolest baby announcement I have ever seen. You outdid yourself here, Trace!
ETA- After Tracy let me know, I pulled on the BABY label and a picture of the new little guy was under it. What a cool surprise!

Thank you all for the lovely cards. I LOVE getting mail. And to get such awesome handmade cards in the mail is heaven to me! Thank you so much!
Well, that's about all the blogging I have time for today. Thank you for visiting me!

Christmas Cards Received

I love cards! So receiving all of the beautiful cards in my mailbox each day was a little bit of heaven for me. I have to admit that picture cards are my personal favorite. And it seems that each year we get more and more photo cards. (Keep 'em coming I say!)

A favorite photo card was from my son and his new bride. They were richly blessed to have the best wedding photos I have ever seen and the rights to use them however they desired. (Photographers who are close relatives are indeed a blessing!) Megan created her photo cards on Snapfish and I LOVE the color scheme. I believe they would match SU's Wintergreen paper to a tee!

Of course, I have to show you my beautiful Godchildren. Best friend, Peggy had her cards made with her Christmas pics from JC Penneys! Aren't they the cutest kids?

Our family received 12 picture cards in total, 25 regular cards and 8 stamped. I've shown you 3 of those, so here are the other 5.

This first card came from Rachel and featured my favorite color- Soft Sky! I love the simplicity, but depth she included with the embossed snowflakes where paper and textured cardstock meet. Very pretty, Rachel! Thank you for thinking of me!

Next comes this fabulous creation from my super star blog friend Maria Bell. She also sent a little magical cocoa packet. And I thought it was SO cool. I think I pulled the cocoa up by the satiny ribbon a dozen times or more. Quite spectacular, Maria! Thank you, friend!

My close and personal friend Chrystal sent this simple vanilla and red card. I enjoyed it so much since we are so blessed to watch the beautiful cardinals in our back yard each day. The card was perfect for us.

Rita sent a sparkly "Sprinkles" card which I adore! Isn't it cute? Thank YOU, Rita!

And last, but certainly NOT least is this spectacular masterpiece by the one and only Rose Ann. She used a CHF Thomas Kinkade stamp in Close to Cocoa. I am in awe, Rose Ann! Your cards are SO amazingly cool in real life! Thank you!
I love cards!! I hope a few more trickle in. That will be fine by me. I love them all!
Have a great weekend and hug someone you love today!

It's Christmas Time!

I am SO excited that I can hardly stand it. In just a little over 24 hours my kids will be on an airplane headed from Missouri to Georgia! Today will surely fly by. I have a habit of leaving lots to do the day before something big like this. That way the time goes by SO much faster. So I have a ton to do today including wrapping and baking and cleaning. I will stay very busy.
But first I thought I'd share. I went to lunch with my sweet dear friend Shelley yesterday. She brought me a Christmas present that I have to show you!

Isn't it cute? But, do you know what it is? I thought about turning this into a guessing game, but I just don't have the time. So I will tell you. This cute little high heel which measures only 5 1/4" x 2" is a functional HAMMER! Yep, this is my new eyelet setter. Isn't it cool? I LOVE IT! At my last job, some of the ladies actually used their shoes to pound in nails to hang things when there was no hammer around. I love my little shoe hammer. Thank you, Shelley!
I've also been blessed to have gotten many pretty Christmas cards in the mail. I LOVE cards so I love this time of year when nearly every day a card arrives in my mail box. I love them all! From postcards to store bought in a box or individually, handmade, stamped or photo cards, I just love cards. I have to admit, photo cards are a favorite. After Christmas, I usually cut out the photo and put it on my frig.
Of course, handmade cards are quite special to me as I know the love and thought that went in to them. So far this year, I've gotten a few handmade cards. Should I share? Well, yeah....

This first one is from my friend Tracy in New York. (Wow.... Trace, I've never had a friend in New York before. That sounds funny.) Tracy used a classic- Frosty. May he live forever.

This next one is a beauty from my Kansas friend, Kristina. She does very VERY good, huh? This is my favorite SU color too... Soft Sky!

I was so surprised AND excited to receive this GORGEOUS card from Monika. My hubby loves this card. So do I! I keep studying that bottom white edge that looks so much like a snow drift. How did she do that?

Raissa sent me this very pretty blue creation along with my prize from her card contest. I just love it!

I'm off to start my chores. I hope you all have a great day that's full of the CHRISTmas spirit!

More Birthday Cards...

I have a few more birthday cards to share. Like I said, I got so many pretty cards in the mail this year. I was blessed many times over. This first card comes from my long time friend, Kristina. She was my first workshop I had after moving to Kansas. She has a great eye for detail and produces some of the prettiest creations. This one is no exception!

Then there is this super Bella Birthday card from Andrea at Crafts on a Whim. She was so sweet to send me not only this very pretty card, but there were also several Bella images inside! I'm a lucky girl!
This card from my friend for life, Tracy arrived around my birthday as well. Isn't it pretty?

Birthday Bliss

The birthday party continues! I am SO excited. You should have heard me squeal with delight as I ripped open my birthday envelope from my SWEET friend, Lori!

Please forgive me as I brag just a little bit.
I GOT THE BIRDS!!!!!!!!
Lori KNOWS me! Boy, does she know me! For my birthday she sent me this CHF set "Pretty Birds". I wanted it so bad and had already decided to order it. I can't wait to play with it!

She also sent this very sweet card. It's girly and glittery... AND too cute!

I don't want to appear to be too much of an RAK piggy, but I do have a few more to show you today! I'll save a few for tomorrow.
I got the prettiest handmade birthday cards in the mail this year. (And some very pretty store bought ones too..... Hallmark is having to step it up a notch these days to compete with us crafties!)

This card came from Patti G.
I wish you could see this one in real life.
It's absolutely gorgeous!

And speaking of gorgeous.... it doesn't get much more gorgeous than this stunning creation by Rose Ann.
Do you know Rose Ann? She is one of my very favoritest people in the blog world!
Drop by her blog and prepare to ooh and ahh!
I better stop there.... I'll show the rest tomorrow.
Thank you ladies for making my birthday so special!
Love

Birthday Blessings

I love you guys! I know there are quite a few of you who visit my blog regularly and I feel fortunate to have you as my bloggin' buddies, family and friends! My birthday was such a blessing and it was because of you. I know my friend Shelley reads my blog and spending the day with her was extra special for me!
She picked me up at 11 and we went to Logan's, my favorite place, for lunch! Here is me with baby Ashton.

He's getting so big! I had the whole afternoon with Ashton yesterday. I held him almost the whole time. I don't get him very often so I figured it was okay to spoil him a little. He had the biggest smiles for me and just cooed and jabbered away! I love babies!
After lunch Shelley and I went shopping. She took me to a craft mall/boutique which had many vendors. Here we are trying on JUMBO sunglasses. (We tucked the tags in so that's what you see in one lens....LOL).
And here is Shelley in the cutest pink hat that would have went with those sunglasses.

We had a fun day. Kevin and Katie took me to dinner at my other favorite place in town- Sonny's BBQ.... when we leave I am going to miss Sonny's and their deep fried corn nuggets! Our waitress was super sweet and sent a big bowl of peach cobbler home with me for my birthday. I was so full it hurt!
I was so fortunate to have received some beautiful birthday cards in the mail from my bloggin' buddies. I usually forget to share my RAKs. I am going to try to get better about that!
Here is a gorgeous pink (my favorite color by the way) creation by Deb! I have to know where you got this bird, Deb! It's SO cool!

I received this sweet Bella card from Rachel. (Rachel, this Bella is SO me!)
Rachel also sent some AWESOME Heidi Swapp rub-on corners that I AM so excited about.
I can't wait to use them!!! LOVE them.... THANK YOU!!

And then I also got a super cool card from Dawn. I would love to have this "Fabulous Flowers" set and Dawn's card makes me want it so much more! Isn't it pretty?

I've got a busy day today. I put so much on hold while doing my month-long birthday Blogabration. It's time to get back to the real world! I've got some cool stuff to share with you though.... I won't forget you guys either.
AND I plan on having a weekly sketch too! I'll post it on Monday. But you'll have the whole week to complete it and when I post the next Monday sketch I'll choose a winner of the previous week's participants. I'll have a little prize along with my sketch card to send to the winner. How's that sound?
Have a FABULOUS weekend, bloggin' buddies!
