Fun Faced Jack O' Lantern

As soon as I saw the Pumpkin Nestabilities dies from Spellbinders I pictured it stenciled and a jack 'o lantern face stamped on. So here he is straight from my imagination.

You may remember this "Fun Faces" set from years ago. It's one I will probably always hold on to. And the greeting comes from one of the "Great Greetings"sets. Another oldie but goodie! I repositioned the 2 words so they are one line. Not hard to do using the Stampamajig.
I've got one more Halloween card to share. Good thing tomorrow is Halloween! On to Thanksgiving and Christmas!
Blessings~
Angel

Stamps~ Fun Faces, Great Greetings

There are only a couple of days left until Halloween and I still haven't shown you all my cards! Here is another simple one! The spider is actually several punches layered on top of each other. Makes it more spooky.
Are you ready for Halloween? We didn't get ANY trick or treaters last year, but Kevin thinks we should buy a bag of candy just in case. Hmmm...
Blessings~

EEEEEK!

I truly apologize if you've visited today to see a Divine Design project. Really. Why? Because I don't have a Divine Design project to share, but instead I have ...
a Halloween card?
Please don't judge me. LOL
Halloween.
I'm really not a big Halloween fan. I am not convinced that it's a Satanic holiday or anything like that, but I'm not into the spooky aspect of the day and what some people make it out to be. On the other hand, I don't see anything wrong with children dressing up in fun costumes and going door to door to get candy. And, of course, church parking lots are a much safer bet these days.
One thing I do like to do is make Halloween cards. They're just FUN!

This card was one I made for the Product Focus at Splitcoast. I used the Xyron Creatopia machine to make the embossed star background. It's a 3" border, but I ran it through a couple of times to make my panel a little wider. The cardstock is from Core'dinations "Black Magic" line and is black on one side with a purple back and color core. I used both sides of the cardstock here. And sanded the embossed piece so the purple shows through.
That cardstock is really F-U-N! Ironically, the fibers I used are from an Easter grouping of fibers. I worried the ends a bit and it reminds me a bit of witch hair.
That'll do it from me today. If you were here for Divine Design- the Scripture Chicks are a bit behind this month, but we should be able to post simultaneously on the 14th. Sorry for the delay!
See you soon!
Blessings~
Angel

Riddle Me This...

I've been seeing the cutest Halloween cards around Blogland. My latest issue of PaperCrafts was also filled with fun ideas for fall and Halloween.
My own selection of Halloween stamps and supplies was extremely limited. Last year I made 5 cards with limited supplies- here, here, here, here, and here. After Halloween was over, though, I picked up a few things at 70% off. And I've had fun the last couple of days playing with them.
I started out with Beate's weekend sketch for my "riddle" card. The little witch feet stamp was from the Michael's $1.00 bin. (cost me 30 cents)
The riddle was computer generated.
I found it on the wrapper of a Laffy Taffy.
I couldn't resist making it into a card since I know a certain young man who just loves jokes and riddles.
The image actually flips up to reveal the answer to the riddle.
So,
what
is a
witches'
favorite
subject?

Do
You
know?
It's

Of course!
Have a good one!

Lucky No. 7

I've got a busy Saturday, but I wanted to make sure to get my sketch posted in a timely manner! If this is your first time here, we're counting down to my birthday. Every day until my birthday (Nov 7) I will be sharing a sketch, a card and a prize to go into a treasure box that I will give away on my birthday! The 31 cards will also go to one lucky winner chosen from the daily comments. See all of the rules here.
Seven is my favorite number. Hmm... I wonder why? And today I give you Sketch #7!
The card I made for this sketch is definitely not one of my favorites. The colors were off or something. But, I'm still sharing it. Maybe somebody will like it. heeheehee
The dimensional sticker was where I started with this card.
I received it along with lots of other Halloween goodies from Jimmi over at Stampin and Shoppin. I won her blog candy just recently and wow, did it ever get here fast!
Card Recipe:
Stamps~ Crosshatch, sentiment by Katie & Co (Michael's $1), Triple Line Plaid wheel
Ink~ Gable Green, Lovely Lilac, Orange, Eggplant
Paper~ Gable Green, Lovely Lilac, Whisper White, DP from Basic Grey
Accessories~ Dimensional Sticker (Punch Studio) and ribbon (?)
AND last but not least, what are we adding to the box of treats?
25 punches and die cuts. I punched out some of my scalloped circles and ovals in white and then a few others in some of the in-colors. And of course since it is October, I added some pink ribbons for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

I am adding that to:
31 Shaped Eyelets
30 Decorative Brads
29 Envelopes
28 Colorful Buttons
27 Glittery Chipboard Letters
26 eyelets
And that's all for today. I'll add more tomorrow! I'm off to find a dress for a ball! Wish me luck!
Have a great Saturday!!
Blessings~

Sketchin' in Circles

This card was a bunch of fun. I have been wanting to make a Halloween type card with Circles and found Sara's Sketch #20 a great time to do it. I am bound and determined to finish Sara's Sketches. According to my notebook I have only 4 left to make. (I have another one not yet posted.)
Like I have said before I am not big on Halloween and don't want to buy a lot of stamps, but the DPs are so cute that I can't help but want to make some cards. So, my answer? I spent $1 on these Paper Studio Halloween stickers and got 2 sheets so I am sure to get a lot of mileage from them.
Card Recipe-
Stamps- On the Spot, All Year Cheer 3, Collage Alpha
Paper- Old Olive, Pumpkin, Vintage Violet, Whisper White, Basic Black, DP is K&I Memories- "Spooky Petite Pop"
Ink-Palette Noir Black, Pumpkin, Olive, Violet
Accessories- A variety of circle and oval punches, SU Tag Corner Punch, Deckle Scissors- (Remember when these were a must-have?), Ribbons are mostly scraps (by ?), Stickers by The Paper Studio, Orange Swirl Clip was a gift so not sure where it came from
I've been busy getting my September cards ready to mail. What did you say? September is over? Yes, it just flew past me so I am having to send BELATED birthday cards and anniversary cards. Hopefully I will be better in October. :-)
Hopefully all of you are having a great weekend and are ready for the new week to start. I'll be back tomorrow with my card for Beate's weekend sketch.
C U L8R!

BOO to YOU!

I wanted to get this Halloween card posted before my DD gets home from school and takes over the computer. I had a ton of fun making this card and just love how it turned out. Fun, Fun, Fun! I used Sara's Sketch #17 for this puppy. I used a "Faux Tearing" technique here. I'm sure there is a tutorial somewhere for it. If you don't think so, I can do one. But I myself don't care to see 10 tutorials on the same thing, so I'll wait. In a nutshell: You use a piece of paper torn in half, spread it apart about a 1/2 inch or so and sponge in between the halves, then you move it up to do the next "layer", etc.
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Sanded
Paper:
Paper Trey's Stamper's Select white cardstock (the BEST), Basic Black, Vintage Violet, Pumpkin, Old Olive & DP from K&I Memories
Ink: Vintage Violet, Old Olive, Pumpkin
Accessories: Scalloped Circle punch, circle punch and CM circle cutting system, mini brads, fibers and "BOO" sticker from The Paper Studio with googly eyes added.
Be sure to go wish Sara a Happy "Golden" Birthday since today is September 27 and she is turning 27!
I am going to go stamp cuz I haven't yet today at all!
And I DO feel like it.
God Bless~
Angel

BOO!

I've already told you that I am not a huge Halloween fan. But, boy am I having fun playing with my new papers and ribbons. I discovered that I did indeed own one more Halloween stamp and it had never seen ink so I decided to use it for this weeks Splitcoast Sketch Challenge. I added the Crystal Effects to the pumpkin last night after everything else was done. It BLED! I couldn't believe it when I woke up this morning and discovered that.. Lesson learned. Otherwise I am happy with the card.
Details, details- Card base is Paper Trey White, DP is Halloween Stripes from The Paper Studio; Other paper: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black CS. Stamps: Say it Simply, All Year Cheer 3 and Looks like Spring (Argyle). Accessories used: Screwhead brads; Word Window, 1 1/4" Circle, and Designer Label Punches as well as SU cutter kit and DECKLE SCISSORS Dusted off!); Palette Noir black and Pumpkin Pie ink and unknown ribbons.
I have a doctor's appointment this morning and then I must get ready to go to the commissary (military grocery store). For me this means planning a menu, making a grocery list and clipping and organizing coupons- a bit of a chore, but saves me lots of money in the long run and since I am not employed that is a must! BUT, if I have time I would love to participate in the other 2 challenges for this week: a pocket card and a limited supply Sympathy card! We'll see how that goes.
Tomorrow's plans? CHRIS TOMLIN is coming to town and our church is sponsoring the free event. DD and I are working one of the sales booths and hubby is helping tear down the stage. Should be fun! I'll try to check back in!
Have a great FRIDAY and a wonderful weekend~

Halloween Card

Today's Challenge on Splitcoast? Halloween cards. Do you know how many Halloween stamps I own? This little piece of candy corn and trick or treat stamp from the $1 bin at Michael's about covers it. I do have 2 "Happy Halloween" sentiments as well that came in other sets. I figured I could still participate in the challenge. It would just be...well...a challenge. :-)
Details, details- Card base is Summer Sun stamped with "Sanded" in Summer Sun ink. Striped paper is "Halloween Stripes" by Pebbles, Inc. (Just picked it up today!) I used it as the strip as well as the tab. Other items used: SU B&W gingham, Small stamps by Katie & Co, Dotted circle by 7 Gypsies, sentiment from SU, CS is Pumpkin, Sun and W White from SU, piercing kit and black brads, Pumpkin and Summer Sun markers to color in Candy Corn (YUM!) and black ink is Palette Noir Black.
That was fun!
