"Obscure" Birthday Card

I really like how Brian's birthday card turned out. It WAS quite late, but to my defense, the child just couldn't figure out what he wanted for his birthday. And so he got money along with the few items of clothing I got him. But, I think he'll be happy.

Details, details: The card base is River Rock which is an awesome neutral color! The scored side is sealed and "hinged" with a row of rub-on dots adhered to it. Daisy D's grid paper and Basic Grey's "Obscure" DP (6x6 pad) are added to the front panel. The verse is a rub-on as well and put onto a piece from the same "Obscure" DP pad. A row of dots is paper pierced in the black above the verse and the bottom is distressed. I punched out some sentiments (on "Obscure" DP) with my word window punch. Three of those are stamped (Birthday Greetings, Short & Sweet and Everyday Flexible Phrases) and one is a sticker (Another Year Older) by Karen Foster Designs. Those are addhered and a black mini brad added to one side. Stitched narrow black ribbon from HL is stuck on with Terrifically Tacky Tape (ProvoCraft). Happy Birthday (SU Birthday Greetings) is stamped along the bottom with Palette Noir Black ink. Rub-ons~ Art Warehouse (dots) and American Traditional Designs (verse).

Today feels like Monday since yesterday was a holiday. Katie is home this week for Winter Break. They have a break everytime you turn around here in Georgia! I'm also babysitting today so I don't know how much stamping I'll be doing.
I've got goodies on the way from Cornish Heritage Farms, Paper Trey AND Stampin Up so I will be a very happy girl next week!
Hope you all have a great week!
