I'm Quoting Again....

My daughter's best friend is such a sweetheart. Right now, she is going through a difficult time. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't ever want to be 16 again myself. Anyway, I made this card for her. I love the saying "We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails." Think about it. Isn't it deep? Or am I just on too much medication? heehee

I used Sara's Sketch #25 for the design here. I think this was one of my favorites along with 27! I'll post that one later.... (a bittersweet moment for me.)
Card Recipe~
Stamps: Paisley background
Ink: Brocade Blue
Paper: Brocade Blue, Certainly Celery, Whisper white and DPs from MME "Wild Asparagus" stack; quote comes from 12x12 K&I Memories "Journeys"
Accessories: mini Pewter Brads
I am enjoying all of the pink out there for Breast Cancer Awareness, aren't you? There is also a lot going on to celebrate World Card Making Day which is this Saturday, October 6th.
AND.... something cool is going on over at the blog of PaperTrey's own Nicole Heady! I am super excited about this. Digital Scrapbooking intrigues me. BUT, I have no idea how to get started. I know I would like it. I love playing with printing programs on the computer. Well, let me tell you, Nicole explains, breaks down and simplifies digi scrapbooking AND offers a lovely FREE download to get you started. Oh, wow! I am planning on designating some time today to soak this up. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, head on over to Nicole's site here.
Have a lovely day, friends!
I feel like stampin'!

You've got a great blog too! Your cards are amazing!!

I double checked the code and it worked for me. Hmm. When you paste the code in, make sure you do it on the "Edit HTML" for a post, and choose HTML if you're putting it on a side bar. E-mail me (laurie@executivehomemaker.com) if you have any further problems and I'll give you more detailed intructions. Thanks for joining the giveaway and I hope you win. ;)

Happy World Card Making Day Angel!

Love your card and all those brads. I would hate to be 16 again. My daughter turned 16 this year and I wish I had her self-esteem when I was 16. It's nice of you to make such a a wonderful card for someone going through a tough time, more so because she's 16.
