The 31 Days of Angelosity- Day 2

Hello, friends. Back to the countdown! Today is Day 2, but counting backwards that means there are 30 days left until November 7! Isn't this fun? I think so. There were 5 cards made with yesterday's sketch so far. Remember, you can go back to any sketch on any day during the countdown and design a card or cards using that sketch. And each design will count towards the blog candy treasure trove. See all of the rules here!
What am I adding to the box of goodies today? I have 30 decorative brads! I LOVE brads and have lots of 'em. I put a sampling of some of my favorites in the box today. Here is a pic:
And, here is today's sketch:
I had NO idea I would love this sketch as much as I do. It's another easy sketch because my goal is to make them easy.
Lately, I have been looking at decorative paper a whole new way! I mostly use my DP to make cards although some day I do hope to scrap. So, when I go to Hobby Lobby or Michael's to pick out paper I do so with an eye on how it I can cut it down to a card size. I try to stay away from overly large designs. I especially LOVE a sheet of quotes or a design I can cut into strips. And when I saw this piece of paper by K&I Memories called Christmas Trees, I knew these trees would be precious used individually on a card.
I put a piece of green paper underneath so you can see where I punched out the trees. I also used another sheet in the same line called Christmas Ribbon Stripe. The possibilities are endless with these papers. But here are the 2 cards I made:

I am trying to make 2 of every card I make during these 31 days. Since I am giving away one set, I will have a set to keep as well.
Here is a detail shot so you can see the sparkle:

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Hmmmm- Nope, NONE
Ink: Hmmmm- Nope, NONE
Paper: Yes (LOL) Wild Wasabi, Pink Passion, K&I Memories DP
Accessories: Vellum metal edge tags, jewels, Clear Stardust Gelly Roll pen, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, button, ribbon from HL (green polka dot) and Michael's (pink polka dot), 1 1/4 in circle punch

That's all I have for now, friends. I'll be back tomorrow with another sketch and a card. Don't forget to comment on today's post for a chance to win the set of cards. And link here to your card if you try out a sketch.
I DO feel like stampin'! (And coming up with more sketches...any ideas?)
Blessings~
Angel

I love the birthday countdown. I always tell people they should celebrate at least a full month and not just one day. GREAT card idea.

That's an interesting sketch and I love what you did with it. It worked so perfectly with the cute tree paper. The trees are adorable, I hope I can find that paper at my LSS.
