EEEEEK!

I truly apologize if you've visited today to see a Divine Design project. Really. Why? Because I don't have a Divine Design project to share, but instead I have ...
a Halloween card?
Please don't judge me. LOL
Halloween.
I'm really not a big Halloween fan. I am not convinced that it's a Satanic holiday or anything like that, but I'm not into the spooky aspect of the day and what some people make it out to be. On the other hand, I don't see anything wrong with children dressing up in fun costumes and going door to door to get candy. And, of course, church parking lots are a much safer bet these days.
One thing I do like to do is make Halloween cards. They're just FUN!

This card was one I made for the Product Focus at Splitcoast. I used the Xyron Creatopia machine to make the embossed star background. It's a 3" border, but I ran it through a couple of times to make my panel a little wider. The cardstock is from Core'dinations "Black Magic" line and is black on one side with a purple back and color core. I used both sides of the cardstock here. And sanded the embossed piece so the purple shows through.
That cardstock is really F-U-N! Ironically, the fibers I used are from an Easter grouping of fibers. I worried the ends a bit and it reminds me a bit of witch hair.
That'll do it from me today. If you were here for Divine Design- the Scripture Chicks are a bit behind this month, but we should be able to post simultaneously on the 14th. Sorry for the delay!
See you soon!
Blessings~
Angel

I love your halloween card. Like you I believe the same things that you do when it comes to halloween. I think it's just a fun day for the children to dress up and eat lots of candy. :)

I did not upload a Divine Design card today either......I did not make my card yet. :( Have a nice weekend.

I totally agree with you about Halloween.....our Pastor asked the children not to dress up as witches....so right....but as you say what fun to dress up and go trick and treating...do I take it your church has an event that evening? Something for the children?

I am right with you on your thoughts about Halloween, Angel! I only like the cute & traditional aspect of it.

Your little bat is just adorable, and I love your texture!!
