Day 9

Good Morning and welcome to the halfway point of the 18 Rainbow Days of Angelosity! I'll be back later with a picture of all of the loot so far. It's quite a lot and we're only half way there!
Today I have a sketch for you. It's a square card, but you can make it into a traditional sized card or even use it for a scrapbook page if you like!
Remember, if you post your project before me you'll get an Early Bird bonus entry!
Also... nobody has guessed today's color correctly although it has gotten close. Since we're down to a couple of hours, I'll let you have a second guess if you've already guessed. (Go back to that post to guess again.)Comment Moderation was on and that kind of messed up things a little since you couldn't see all of the guesses so far. I've taken it off just for today.
Have a blessed day!
~Angel
Today's Question:
Continuing to get to know you better-
Tell me where you grew up and something unusual or unique about that town!

I grew up everywhere. Being a miltary brat, everywhere was my hometown and nowhere was my home. I usually only spent 9 months in any one place, so never got to know much about anywhere, but a little about everywhere. After 11 schools in 12 years I had a BIG hometown! Good thing is when I went to college I never got "homesick!"

I grew up in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico. What can I say that is unusual? For me everything is normal. What is weird is that we have like 10 or 20 primary schools and colleges, we have 2 Jr. High schools but only ONE high school. Can't understand the huge difference in number of schools. Thing is all of them are over flooded of people but the town in itself seems to be of elder people. I moved back in after college.

I grew up in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. The color green is the best way to describe it, and we were always an hour from the mountains, an hour from the ocean, or an hour from the big city...depending which direction you went. I sure miss the fog and rain (currently live in the desert).

I grew up in a small town in North Dakota. I loved it. We were in the Red River Valley which meant the landscape is VERY flat. Some people complain, but I love the beauty of the prairie and being able to see your neighbor's house a few miles away. The wind could get a bit bitter, especially during winter. When our schools close down for a 'snow' day, it's usually because the wind chills are -50 degrees!

Lincoln, Nebraska. Wonderful little city. Pop. 200,000 but has a small town feel. (Plus we have Nebraska Cornhusker football)
My summers I spent with my Grandma in Baltimore and her favorite spot was Ocean Grove, NJ. I have wonderful memories of the Boardwalk and the beaches, not to mention lots of sun spots and sun damgage from those long lovely days playing in the ocean.

I grew up in Madison Heights, Michigan until I got married and moved only 6 miles away to Center Line, Michigan.

Madison Hts., was unique because we lived across the street from our church/school/convent/rectory. So I just had to walk across the street to go. And, my grandparents only lived a few blocks away so we could walk there as well especially on halloween.

Happy Tuesday! The coral goodies are lovely! I grew up in a small town here in southern Illinois! My family and I only live 10 minutes from where I grew up. We had a wonderful neighborhood of kids. It was really fun to grow up where I did. The state senator, Paul Simon, is from where I grew up. My paternal grandpa was the first policeman in my hometown! Thanks, Cindi

The coral goodies look great. The colors are getting interesting. I grew up in a very small town in Central Florida. Nothing special about it, but it is home. We came back here after my husband retired from the Army.

First, I have lived in many places due to being a pastor's daughter. The main place I grew up was Terre Haute, IN and it's known for being the armpit of america. Also where Timothy McVeigh was executed, also where Larry Bird played college ball

I grew up in Calgary, lived in the same house even from 3 months to age 24! Of course most people know Calgary for it's annual Stampede - the greatest outdoor exhibition!

I grew up in a very small potato farming community in Eastern Idaho. Everyone either worked out at "The Site" at Atomic City... or worked with SPUDS! either as a farmer, driver, warehouse man etc... I can't think of anything unique other than it was very close to many outdoor activities. Fishing, Hunting, Boating, Skiing. Etc..

I moved around but spent most of my growing up years in Bexley, Ohio. My house was one block away from the National Road

Difficult question to answer. My father is a pastor and we moved around a lot. I have lived in North Carolina and Virginia. I would say that we spent the most time in Rocky Mount VA (Near Roanoke) The most unusual thing about that town is that it is known as the Moonshine Capital of the world.

I grew up in Abington, Pennsylvania. I attented a wonderful private school there that had been there for 200 years (not always as a school). The grounds were amazing, I remember lots of acorns! The first grade class room was a charming converted carriage (huge) house. I remember a massive stone fireplace and we studied Japan and had silk worms! Next door to the classroom was the meeting house, that had been used by the Quakers. It had such a historic presence. Fond memories... Deb

I lived in lots of places growing up. I have the most precious memories of Paris though. We lived at the top of a hill, and there was a bakery at the bottom of the hill. My mom used to give us money each day to walk to the bakery and buy a treat. Yum!

Hi Angel,
I am in Seattle, WA. We've got a beautiful road called the Alaskan Way Viaduct - it parallels the Sound along the downtown area and on a sunny day the view is to die for! They want to tear it down though and rebuild something w/o the view that holds more cars and is 'safer'....we'll see what happens. It's sad - I hope it's left or renovated. At night it is like a fariy tale it's so pretty!

Well, I was an AF brat so I "grew up" traveling from Fl-Il-Germany-Mi-De-back to FL - to Virginia to meet YOU!

I lived several places as a kid, but the longest was in Hendersonville, TN. I guess the unique thing about our town was that several country music stars lived there. Johnny Cash, Tammy Wynette and George Jones, Bobby Bare, and more. Tammy Wynette's daughter, Jackie, was in my 5th grade class. I even spent the night at her house and met Tammy. I remember thinking that she just looked like any other mom in the morning and I was not impressed on a 5th grader level. LOL

I did make the card the standard size instead of square since I have no square envelopes and didn't really want to make custom envelopes:
