Hi Angel!!!

I'm playing along.I have some cards already done, but am waiting to post a few at the same time.Hoping to get caught up today!!

My organizational tip is to keep your cardstock and cardstock scraps organized into the colors of the rainbow! I have folders for each color and ,of course browns and blacks(I put the greys with the black)

My favorite organizational tool has to be the hand=held Tote-Tally-Cool handle tool caddy I keep right in front of me on my desk. All of my "everytime" tools go in there (scissors, white pen, crop-a-dile) so everything is at my findertips and not lost under my scraps!

I have my sponges and sponge daubers organized in a divided plastic box separated out by the colors of the rainbow ROYGBIV. Actually instead of indigo and violet I just call it purple and use the extra spot for brown.

I try and keep everything in color groups. All pink shades of ribbon in one jar, all pink buttons, brads, etc together.

I've an opaque heavy-duty plastic storage container/drawer that measures 3-1/2"w x 4"h x 13"l that works PERFECTLY to contain my studio g collection ... at least, it used to! I've gotta admit that I recently picked up a few more releases and now have to track down another drawer! I don't recall who makes 'em, tho'!

hoping to catch up some this weekend! My tip is that I use a tool turnabout from PC to hold a variety of tools for my cardmaking!

I have all my papers in folders by colors. Something you taught me a long time ago. Other than that, I am not much on keeping that room organized. But I am going to read some of the other comments to get some ideas.

I saw this idea of an "inspiration station" on someone's blog last year (can't remember who)...I used to get frustrated that I couldn't find the perfect "whatever" when making holiday cards....so I set up a small table as an island in the middle of my craftroom. I then have baskets that I fill with everything that might be related to that holiday including papers, stamps, inks, ribbons, all embellishments...anything I think I might use. I just start at one end of my cupboards and work myself around the room filling the baskets. That way I can see everything I might use in one place. This saves me a lot of time and gives me extra inspiration and creativity.

I'm working away so I can catch up on the challenges. I'll probably get them posted tomorrow and email you the links. I'm having so much fun!! Thank you for doing this again. As far as organizational tips, I also sort everything by color (ribbons, eyelets, brads, buttons, etc.) and group like items in divided containers to make them easily accessible. I keep a master list of my stamps (created a file in Excel so I can enter the name, manufacturer, year released, if retired, and any other info). I entered all the words and phrases in a seperate sheet with a column for the name of the stamp set and theme. This way I can easily sort for the words I need without digging through all my stamps. I keep my stamps sorted alphabetically so I can find them after referencing my list. I also have a 3-ring binder with all my stamps (and sets) indexed alphabetically (with sample images) and sample ideas. Whenever I'm looking for inspiration, I pull out the binder and page through looking for the perfect stamp. Whew, that was probably more 'tips' than you wanted. LOL

Yikes, I've got lots of catching up to do!!

I keep most of my stuff in clear plastic shoe-size boxes. They're big enough to hold quite a bit without getting too messy, I can see through them when I'm looking for something, and they stack nicely. I also keep a tackle box out that holds the things that I use ALL the time so I can get to them easily.

hugs, Jami

My favorite organizational tool is my big notebook in which I have filled with copies of all the stamps I own, inside of sheet protectors. For the unmounted ones, they also indicate where they're located (for example in vhs case, C3 or in CD case, 2L). In addition, I also have in the notebook, thumbnail size sketches also inside of plastic sheet protectors.

A tip would be to save everything, from scrap ribbons to cs to plastic containers so you can alter them at a later date.

I Buy way to much card stock so cropper hoppers paper keeper is perfect for my card stock. Sine I have lots of disney stuff left over from the three albums I've done for our trips. I keep all disney stuff in one box. and any albums I am working on I put stuff pertaining to that album in a folder with that album like our cruise scrapbook, my son cub scout book and the like.

I love to organize by color... that goes with everything in my house, too. Everyone has a color and I use color-related items to match that person. Coat hangers, backpacks, lunch boxes, towels. That way I can see exactly who is lacking in the clean-up process and they can't blame it on someone else! With 4 kids, it definately helps. Stamp items go the same way... colors, broken down into items. Buttons in one box, with all the colors seperated into individual tins. Cardstock in individual folders and the scraps go in there, too. I'm all about the color!!

Here are my Sketch cards/projects for day 7!

I still love the Bind It All... it's so fun to be able to quickly make books out of anything, or calendars, or coaster cards, or...

I found these great drawer liners at Ikea which were meant to hold CDs. I use them in a drawer to hold my Cuttlebug dies, embossing folders, and Nesties. They all store upright and I can just flip through them to find the one I want - a huge spacesaver for me.

I am working on organizing my craft room. One of my favorites is the wire cubes you put together for paper. I store my cardstock by colors in it. Also use the clear shoeboxes for little items.

I use a mounted Old Cassette tape holder to hold all my Ink Pads and matching sponges! It certainly saved space in a drawer or box!

Never buy so much that you cannot put it all away... That's been my biggest mistake!

I recently bought a filing cabinet that I keep all of my cardstock in based on what colour family it belongs to. All files are labeled with my trusty label maker. Also, the front of the file is for scraps of that cardstock and the back is for the full size sheets so I know right where to look if I just need a small piece!

My favorite organizational tip is to keep Nesties in a cd holder with a magnetic strip attached to the inside. Keeps them in view and in order!

Carrying on the recycling/altering theme ... I take various size boxes and cover them with contact paper. I then make computer graphic/word labels and attach to the front and one side of the box, so that when they are on shelves I can read the label regardless which way they are turned! I've also made a list of the tools that I have with pictures, place of purchase, & $ paid.
I did find that I started to general and have to remove/redo some labels as my collection grows! ^o^

My favorite organizational item is my paper rack that I got when the LLS I worked for went out of business. I have all of my PP separated by themes or brands and I know where everything is!

I have recently started buying Unity stamps. They are unique and the wood mounted stamps have a little hanger on the top. I found an old belt storage loop that my hubby used to keep his belts on. The Unity wood mounted stamps slide right on the loop and I hang it on part of my floor lamp. It keeps the stamps out of the way but within easy reach.

Another opportunity to use new stamps - these actually came in the mail today as I was enjoying a full day of stamping: http://images.splitcoaststampers.com/data/gallery/500/three_kings_holy_night_by_GlueGirl.jpg

I do not really have any organizational tools or tricks, even though I think about it constantly. My mom and I recently came up with the idea that you don't need the clip it up that spins. You can buy the clips and put up a bar that does not sit on a surface to hang your stickers and other stuff on....I even found a great shelf/bar to use!
