Giving Thanks

I am so glad that Kelley chose to release her Thanksgiving set early. I'm having a blast playing with these great stamps AND I am reminded as I play with these images to "Give Thanks". So often we are quick to bring our requests to God, but do we really thank Him enough for the bountiful blessings He has given us? I know I don't.
I've made my card from watercolor paper I bought at Staples. It's not the greatest paper, but worked out okay. (I didn't save out near enough neutral colors from getting packed!) The brown embossed layer is actually a lovely bronze Prism metallic paper which Kelley carries at Our Daily Bread Designs. There are 5 different metallic shades to choose from! This one matched my mini brads perfectly. And I LOVED it embossed with my Textile Cuttlebug folder! Can you tell I covered the cornucopia with Crystal Effects? (My hubby's idea!)
LOOK at this "Give Thanks" set:The set includes that gorgeous cornucopia, 3 scriptures and 3 sentiments plus the bonus Handstamped by" stamp! (Oh, and I {heart} that font!) I wanted my card to include only the word "Blessings". There are a couple of different ways to do that. One is simply to ink up the single word with a marker. I wanted to use my ink pad for better ink coverage so I just put a piece of tape over Thanksgiving in the Thanksgiving Blessings stamp, inked it up in my pad, took the tape off and stamped. I prefer this method.
Card Recipe~

Ink: Basic Brown
Paper: Watercolor paper, More Mustard, Bronze Prism

Have a Blessed Day, friends!!
