Shoot for the Moon

This is one of those cards that really looks much cooler in real life. I sneaked this card into my daughter's book bag before she left for school this morning. I wrote a note to her about how proud I am of her. I can't imagine being in her shoes and changing high schools in the middle of the school year. That is what she did last year without even one complaint! And next summer we are scheduled to move again.... just as she enters her senior year. But, she's a trooper and I know she'll be okay! Back to the card....
I love to create cards with great sayings, quotes or verses. So, when I see a sheet of them in designer papers.... I always get them. This quote came from a 12x12 sheet from K&I memories called "Journeys". How very appropriate!
(I used Sara's Sketch #23!!)
Details, details- Card base is Brocade Blue. The 3 DP's are all from MME "Wild Asparagus" block and are distressed with SU Cutter Kit along all edges. Stars are punched in the quote from K&I and then mounted onto Certainly Celery. (A small piece of white is adhered behind 3 of the stars). I used the paper piercer along all edges and then used my white Signo gel pen between every other line. Then I adhered the moon shape which was a "happy accident" as I was punching out my circles from the previous Halloween card I posted yesterday. I put Crystal Effects on top and sprinkled glitter over that so it is very 3D. I also colored in my small stars with a Gelly Roll Clear stardust pen.
I love the finished card and hope Katie likes it too. I also hope she finds it!
I've got a lot to do today, but I do hope to get a couple more posts in. I just noticed I was over 10,000 hits so I think that deserves BLOG CANDY! What do you say?
Have a great Monday, friends!
I feel like STAMPIN'!!!

Katie-girl is strong and I know she'll pull through! After all, her "big sister" moved 4 times in 4 years of high school and I turned out ok... I think!
Beautiful card, as always!!
