FTL75 & A Question of Adhseives!

I love to stamp! And I especially love to stamp Valentines!
And I love to have a sketch to jumpstart my creative juices.
Clean & Simple is almost always a good place to start. And in fact, I've used their last 3 sketches for jumpstarts on my Valentines! This one is their Fall-to-Layout #75!

The several shades of pink on my ribbon was an inspiration to stamp the hearts in Rose Red, Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink. Simple as can be from there!
Now, I've got a question for you!
I'm in the final stages of preparation to make the wedding invitations. Almost everything has been bought and printing is the next step. But thinking a little further past that to adhesives is giving me a bit of a hiccup.
here's why. Back when I started stamping a lot, I used Monoadhesive. I still have a few laying around. But towards the end of my using it, I wasn't happy with it's performance. And the bargains we were able to find on it grew scarce. So I started a search to find a better, less expensive adhesive. And I thought I had found it. I invested in a Scotch ATG gun and purchased a box of tape rolls for it. That box lasted me quite a while. But I have to say I was not pleased with the last few rolls. The rolls seemed to "warp" and the tape would end up coming off of the dispenser "nozzle" and I spent too much time trying to get it back on and going right. Then, the last straw for me seemed to be when I tried to use my last roll. The adhesive seemed to be on the wrong side. I've not yet found the time to contact Scotch about my problem, but intend to.
Since that time, I've been using a combination of Glue Glider Pro (similar to the ATG but smaller in size, the refills can be costly), double stick tape, Scotch Quick Drying Tacky Glue and this and that.
I am on the lookout for the perfect adhesive and I'd love to hear what YOU use!
Leave me a comment and tell me your thoughts on adhesives!
Thanks for visiting!

I use CTMH liquid glue - Bonding Memories. OR Tombo Mono adhesive. I buy a ton of refils when Craft Warehouse has their yearly sale. less than $2 each. I also discovered that Office has their own private label of mono adhesive.
I prefer liquid glue to glue a big sheet of paper... tape for smaller items.

Angel,
Very pretty card! As far as adhesive, I am kinda like you! I use the ATG gun and double sided tape. So, I really can't help you there. I will be watching to see what you come up with!
Have a great weekend!

For a liquid adhesive I love The Tombo Momo Multi, for the roll the one I love is Scotch Double Sided , then the extra strong I have fallen in love with the Scor-Tape.

Angel, I love your Valentine! Have you considered investing in a Xyron for gluing? This machine is perfect for large projects that are time consuming, like your invitations. It is also great for one on one projects. While the cartridges are not cheap, you get a full 40 feet by 8-1/2 Wide. Your can use a 40% off coupon at Michael's, A.C. Moore, Hobby Lobby or Joann's to save money on them. Your adhesive is added in seconds, really fast and stick well. Permanent or temporary cartridges and they also use laminating cartridges (cold lamination). They also have smaller machines like the 250 and the X. I also use Scor-tape and red-line, depending on my project. I never use wet glues, due to warping of the papers and card stock. Good Luck with your decision. Hugs Lori

Hi Angel,
I love my ATG-I have had it for years. I buy the tape on ebay and it isn't scotch brand. (because of that I don't usually use it for scrapping, because I'm not 100% sure that it is acid free)I have had the same trouble with the tape sometimes seeming like it is on backwards...and all you do is pull the tape off the wrong side of the roll, then it should stick to the correct side and it should be okay. If that doesn't make sense, please email me and I would be happy to explain further. I also have all the other glues mentioned, I like the Glue Glider, but it is so expensive when I compare it to what I can get on-line from ebay for my ATG! I hope this helps some!!
