A friend of mine recently came over and we made this pink ensemble for her mother-in-law who just began chemotherapy for breast cancer. One of my favorite things about paper crafting is being able to make heartfelt personalized gifts.
Throat Drops~ Purse Tissues~
The gift bag: This little candy box is a repurposed "Laughing Cow" Cheese box!My favorite thing in the package was this keyring photo album made from chipboard coasters and filled with pics of her immediate family members. I hope Kate will be able to keep this with her when she's at treatment giving her a little inspiration.Amy made a stack of ginger cookies for her mother-in-law. Ginger is a natural anti-nausea medicine.Check out the lid:There are lots of pictures as we made several things for her package. And I didn't even take a picture of everything Amy included in the box. There were pink ribbons and tags on almost everything. And Kate absolutely loved the package.
It just so happens that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. A coincidence really. My friend Peggy is having a little giveaway at her blog to bring awareness to the cause which is near and dear to her heart. Go on over and take a look!
Be sure to check out today's new Product Focus at Splitcoast. It's on the brand new Xyron Creatopia which I used for many aspects of this project.
I hope to be back tomorrow. I've got lots to show and tell!
Blessings!
