I love my country! As a military wife I am extremely proud of the men and women who protect my freedom! One in particular, of course! And I am missing him right now!
I love the new patriotic sets from Our Daily Bread Designs. The flag from this "God Bless America" set covers practically an entire card front. Some of the DT girls have die cut ovals from the image. I love that effect! For this card, I've colored the flag in the background but adhered a layer of vellum over the top with my quote embossed on top. And I was so excited to be able to use this Karen Foster metal charm I found at Archiver's last month. It was the perfect embellishment.
I should be in Kansas if this posts at the right time!
I'll be back next Wednesday! But, you'll see my Divine Design post on Saturday!
Blessings~

Oh Angel, you are such a beautiful couple! Your card is just grand! I love the vellum layered over the top!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card. My one and only son served in the Marines for 4 years then 2 years in the Army and now he is in the National Guard full time, All the males of my family are/were military men fighting from WW1 (can you imagine) to Iraq. My prayers are with you.
ReplyDeleteI love that picture of the both of you, Angel! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI love your card with the embossed vellum overlay, and perfect charm!!
Angel, this is fantastic!!! Love the embossing and the freedom bracelet look detailing. Beautiful couple, too!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! I like the charm and the addition of vellum. The military families hold a special place in my heart. My husband served for 8 yrs and my son will be joining the military in a couple years.
ReplyDeleteThe card is, as always, great. But I wanted to say what a beautiful couple you are. I pray God protects and guides you both
