Inspired

I watch the little hummingbirds each and every day. I now have 2 hummingbird feeders because the first one would leak onto the windowsill and bring other little pests that were quite unwanted. We moved that one out to a nearby tree. And we purchased a new feeder that the little guys can actually sit down and eat from. This one does not leak.It took them a few days to decide they liked it, but now they use it often.
Watching these little guys inspired me to pull out a couple of hummingbird stamps that I have had for years. And pouring over Jerri's blog, "A Touch of Grace" inspired me to pull out my gold embossing powder!

I embossed the image in gold detail powder and then carefully bleached out the inside areas with a small paint brush. Then I took my pastels (chalks) and colored in those same areas. I haven't done this in years, but I just love the look.
Here is a close-up:

Stunning Angel! I would love to achieve such beauty in a card! I too sit and watch the Humminbird's daily! There appears to be a couple that fly together and arrive together, so cute! Then there are 2 or 3 more that get in on the action! I find I am filling it up weekly! It was so cute yesterday, a little sparrow came up on the back deck and perched on my German Sheperds water bowl, and he and his buddy had a few drinks! If there is kibble around they will nibble on it, Lobie doesn't mind to share! The beauty and harmony of nature inspires me to thank the lord for all we are truly blessed with. Deb

Love the Hummingbirds. You did a great job. Wish I could take a picture like that. Mine always seem to fly off too fast. Miss ya.
