Stained Glass Cross

I wish you could see this card IRL (in real life). It has so much dimension and the pic just doesn't do it justice. This gorgeous True Faith Blue Stained Glass Paper is available at Our Daily Bread. It has a mottled glossy look to it which I wanted to duplicate on my Wild Wasabi background. I dipped a sponge (well, I used a piece of a Mr Clean eraser since I didn't have a sponge) into some Mod Podge and stippled it on. Worked like a charm. It dried in no time and I then ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Diamonds in the Rough embossing folder. Many of the components of this card were popped up with SU Dimensionals. I love those things!
I started out with Lauren's sketch. If you haven't been to see Lauren's blog, you're missing out. She is a stamping machine and one of my favorite stampers!

Card Recipe:
Stamps~ Cross of Christ
Ink~ Black Palette
Paper~ Wild Wasabi, Black, True Faith DP
Accessories~ Cuttlebug, Nestabilities circle and scalloped square dies, Cuttlebug Diamonds in the Rough folder, square black mini brads, Glossy Mod Podge, , Dimensionals

Today is our last Sunday at our home church here in Warner Robins. We'll greatly miss the worship and the teaching here at Southside Baptist. I was so worried about having to find a new church when we moved to Georgia from Kansas. I didn't think any preacher could replace our pastor there. But, we found a great church here in Georgia that I'll be very sad to leave. Once again we'll be looking for a new church home and between the last 2 experiences that bar has been set very high. Thankfully we know God has a place for us.
That's all for me today. Have a sweet Sunday!
