Great is His Faithfulness

You know how sometimes a song in church will be just what you needed? It's like God's voice assuring you! Yesterday I heard this oldie but goodie hymn and it touched my heart. Maybe someone out there needs it too?

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.

Refrain
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Refrain

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Refrain

For each of my children, I memorized a hymn while pregnant. I used the hymn to get through diaper changes and sleepless nights. This was my son's hymn (first child). It was very good at getting my mind (and heart) off of my own situation and focused on God. (especially during what I called three verse diapers).

It is truly a timeless hymn. I am glad God could use it to bless you as well.
