Fact #16

I'm a coupon cutter and menu maker. I do my best to save money at the grocery store. I consider myself a thrifty penny pincher, but I hate actually going grocery shopping.

I use coupons and rebates too but not as many as there used to be. I would count the amount I saved from coupons, put it in a jar and once a month, take it to the bank. Over 35 years, that grew quite a bit and I paid cash for my computers, camera, and all that stuff I didnt need but wanted . I dont make menu's tho-I just pull stuff out of the pantry and figure out something to make. With over 100 cookbooks and the internet, there is never a shortage of ideas. So I have a pot of garlic spinach soup brewing now-both were getting a bit past their prime so I just threw them in a pot. whole garlic cloves are yummy in spaghettie sauce too

Have you looked into www.e-mealz.com? They make you a meal plan for the week, give you a shopping list that accommodates the sales at YOUR local grocery store, AND you can get it for different diets! VERY cool! I heard about them on the Dave Ramsey show!

I hate grocery shopping too! But luckily, my DH loves it! We only go once every 3 weeks or so!
