I started stamping a little yesterday and decided to try Beate's Weekend Sketch as well as the Splitcoast Monday Technique Challenge- which was to use 2 or more designer papers. Another perfect opportunity to dig through my scraps and elements! I had stamped this quote and tree a few years ago when I made little notebooks for my daughter's discipleship group (D Group). (They were doing a great Bible study called The Case for a Creator by Lee Strobel.)I stamped a few too many of these so into the box of elements they went! The background papers were 1" strips in my scraps. I put them together on a piece of chocolate chip cardstock and ran them through my Cuttlebug with one of my favorite folders- Stylized Flowers. Speaking of Cuttlebug, I took advantage of a great sale this last weekend from Oh My Crafts. I've got EIGHT new Cuttlebug folders on their way! Oh My! In case you were trying to figure out what stamps I used on the main card, I used 3 different background stamps in the background! (Linen & Antique Cracking-SU and my new Abstract-CHF)
My placement for Beate's sketch was not exactly correct. That's what happens when an old lady tries to use her memory! I hope Beate will not mind.
