Victoria Candy!

This morning I read on Courtney's blog about Victoria- a young middle school girl with cancer. Victoria's teacher is giving her a map and Victoria will be able to mark on her map the places she receives cards from. Her teacher hopes she'll get them from all over the world, but especially from each of the fifty states. I don't know about your state, but she is gettin' one from Georgia! I challenge you along with Courtney to send this young girl a card AND to say a prayer for her. I have no idea what Victoria's prognosis is, but I know God loves her and I know prayer WORKS! You can read more at Courtney's blog here. Courtney has some blog candy as a drawing for those who send a card. I would like to add a prize to that cause as well. I hope Courtney doesn't mind, but I would like to copy her idea. Comment on this post to let me know AFTER you have sent Victoria a card and I will put your name in a drawing for this small Image Tree Alphabet stamp set!

The deadline Victoria's teacher has set is September 27th so that's what my deadline is as well. Your card doesn't have to be handmade either. But if it is, you'll get an extra entry if you link to your card and another entry if you spread the word via your blog! That's 3 possible entries. Be sure to let me know!
And now here is the card I made for Victoria.
Details, details- DP is from Wild Asparagus line from MME. Quote comes from 12x12 "Journey" from K&I Memories and is mounted onto Almost Amethyst. Vintage Violet stitched Ribbon, Card base is Choc Chip stamped with Paisley background. Middle panel is mounted onto Vanilla (SU).
This card is my take on Sara's Sketch #12. I am really enjoying Sara's sketches and I figure if I post 2 a day, I may just catch up (I am doing them out of order).

I will be back tomorrow because
I just feel like stampin'!

Hey Angel, just saw this post this morning. I am sending Victoria a card from WA. As a teacher, this story broke my heart but gives me hope at the same time. I don't know where I am suppose to link too but I feel it is a great cause and my heart told me to send a card. Thank you so much! kt

Oh how fabulous! It's always so humbling to hear these stories of love and courage and I had to participate in the card shower of course. I made this card this morning and it's going into today's mail from WISCONSIN. I also added some info on my blog (and that's where you can see the card picture too). http://glitterinmyhair.blogspot.com

I'll also put it in my SCS gallery (jennifer-g).

A card is sitting in my mail box now with the red flag up just waiting for the postman to pick it up. It won't be the first but just another one from Washington State. Here's the card that is off to Victoria in my SCS gallery:

Okay, so I made a card but my scanner is not cooperating and Husband is away with the camera until tomorrow. Here is the link and I will post the pic tomorrow (I made an extra so I could send Victoria's card on time.) Mine is coming from Morocco, so hopefully it will arrive okay.
