And the Winner Is....

I did nearly forget to draw my winner yesterday. Random.org helped me pick and it was the very last comment from
Sara
Who said...
Two facts, I do not comment enough on peoples blogs, ok maybe not a real fact. I LOVE JESUS and want to completely submit to HIS will and Life just has its ups and downs and if you do not learn to roll with it you will fall down or stumble along the way. Does that count for a fact? I guess I am learning to roll with it... Hope this comment counts for being entered, not sure if you really meant this one or really meant whatever was posted when I finally checked your blog again.
Smiles and Blessings,
Sara
Sara, please email me your snail mail address and I will get these goodies in the mail to you!!!

Pizza Again?

Happy Monday Mornin!Just wanted to let you know I'll be MIA for a few days. I really need to focus on the house and getting it on the market. Because of sickness and procrastination, we are about 2 weeks behind schedule. I feel the need to kick it up a notch and that unfortunately means less time on the computer. I do have a project with "On Eagle's Wings" that I hope to upload and post today or tomorrow. But, I am going to save my last two facts and any further updates until the time comes that there is a "For Sale" sign in my front yard.
This seems like small stuff in the Prayer Request line, but I would so appreciate your prayers as Kevin, Katie and I get the last bit of work done on the house. It's been a bit stressful around here and for some reason we're getting tired of pizza for dinner. I'm off to the frozen food aisle today to see what's new!
Have a blessed week!
~Angel
P.S. My friend Lori has been rockin' lately with great CHF projects. Check her out!
OH....And don't forget about my stamps for sale below. Make me an offer if you think my price is too high. I don't want to take these to South Carolina!

Fact #98

I like quiet!
I'm home all day alone with usually no TV or radio or anything.
Just me and the quiet.

Fact #97

I don't have any pets and really don't plan on having any.
Don't get me wrong.
I think puppies and kittens, like children, are adorable.
However, I also believe they deserve a lot of attention that
I probably wouldn't be able to give.
And so, we have no pets.

Fact #96

I like to watch nature, especially birds.

Hubby and I bought a bird bath and a few bird feeders we keep stocked in suet for in the back of our house. And we get lots of different kinds of birds out here. Cardinals, bluebirds, blue jays, robins, morning doves and woodpeckers make our tree a regular stop. It's fun to watch and listen to them.

Fact #95

I go on "kicks".
I'll eat something until I am tired of it. I play a song until I am sick of it. I'll start a new hobby or routine. Nine times out of ten, I get tired of it and stop. Not true for some things in my life, but for quite a few.

Black Butterfly Accents

I finally picked up this Martha Stewart butterfly punch last week. I've been wanting it for a while so I am so happy it is now mine. And when I saw Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge, I knew I had to play! Have you visited Sharon's No Time to Stamp? blog? You won't be disappointed if you do. {She even has some Blog Candy this week! } Sharon issues a simple challenge each week and this week her charge was to use black accents on your card- perfect for my little black punched and Cuttlebugged butterflies.

Card Supplies~
Stamps~ French Flair
Ink~ Soft Sky
Paper~ Whisper White, Basic Black, Soft Sky
Accessories~ Punches, Distresser, Cuttlebug, Stitched Soft Sky ribbon, rub-on sentiment

ETA~ Journaling marker was used to add some doodling swirls and whirls

And guess what else? As I was gathering my supplies for my card, I gathered up a few extras. I just felt like sharing! Maybe it was those butterflies.....Hmmmm..... Butterfly Kisses?? Here is what I have to share~ lots of little black butterflies, one yard of stitched Soft Sky ribbon, silver brads, a variety of punches in Soft Sky AND a Heidi Swapp Edge Distresser:
Leave me a comment on today's post to be included in the draw for this little RAK! And since I'm on my last few facts and running out of things to talk about you can tell me 2 facts about YOU! Maybe it will give me some ideas!

ETA~ Random drawing will be this Sunday, April 27.

Fact #94

I color my hair because
I'm going grey.
I'm really chintzy too, so I can't bring myself to spend more than $20 on my hair at a beauty salon. A trip to a "Quick Cutz"or WalMart salon to whoever is available is all I usually do. Then I pick up a box and color my own hair. I try to buy a permanent, creme-based formula that won't run and I let it sit on my hair as long as I can stand it. Luckily, my hair is fine and thin so it's an easy thing to do myself.

Just a couple of weeks ago, I colored my hair with L'Oreal "Dark Chocolate Brown" [which was actually a little dark for me.]
NEXT time, I am going to take this fun survey to find my new color!
L'Oreal Color Survey
How fun!

WSC44

I wanted to play along with Beate's weekend sketch. But, I didn't want to pull anything new out. So I played with what was already out on my desk. The scraps of paper I used on my card were left over from my wall hanging.
I was greatly inspired by some quilted pieces I was looking at online the other day. When I saw Beate's sketch... I knew I had to go in that direction!
AND... I know just who is going to get this card!

Card Recipe:
Stamps~ Stampabilities sentiment
Ink~ Brilliant Blue
Paper~ Barely Banana, Brilliant Blue, DP by EK Success (Laura Ashley Blues)
Accessories~ Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, Photo Corner Punch, MM mini brads, DCWV Rub-on Stitchings, Michael's $1 value ribbon

There is still time to enter for the blog candy- the new "On Eagles Wings" set from Kelley!
Have a Great Weekend!

Fact #92

But totally true.....

I often sleep with my right hand up on my forehead.
Hubby tries to move my hand, but I end up putting it back.
This has been happening now for over a year.
Anyone have any ideas on that?

Fact #91

  • My favorite restaurants here in Warner Robins are Sonny's and Logan's.

  • Hubby and I are always looking for a Mexican restaurant that even slightly compares to the Mexican food we had when we were neighbors to the Bermudez family in Virginia. From the homemade tortillas to the rice and beans and everything in between, we loved everything Diane would cook for us. {I absolutely hate that I have lost touch with this dear friend.}

  • Another restaurant we are always on the lookout for is an authentic German restaurant. Those are very hard to find in my opinion. I thought I had tracked one down here in town, only to find that it had closed.

  • Because of my germ phobia, I don't like buffets especially.
  • Having said all of that, we don't eat out very often.

Feeling Better

Whew.... the flu is not fun! Just wanted to share that I am feeling better today. So, I'd say it was a 48 hour bug. That was one 48 hour period that I wouldn't wish upon anyone!
Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!

Last week's performance.....

#88, #89 and Butterfly Kisses

Fact #88
My favorite scripture and what I consider my life's verse is
Isaiah 40:31.

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles."

I am so excited to own it in rubber stamp form! Thank you, Kelley!

Fact #89
I collect blue and white dishes
in a variety of patterns and designs. After painting the kitchen this weekend in what at first appeared to be such a bright yellow, I knew I wanted to somehow bring the blue and white back into the room.
My new set from Our Daily Bread Designs was perfect for this wall hanging.

I made the wall hanging from 4 1/4" chipboard coasters and "Blue Collection" Laura Ashley papers from EK Success. All I had was one yard of this fabulous blue and white ribbon I got on one of my trips to Virginia. It was the perfect touch I thought!

Now for the exciting news! Kelley has graciously allowed me to offer one of you the new "On Eagle's Wings" set! The set will ship directly to you from "Our Daily Bread".
I will draw a random winner this Sunday, April 20th from comments on THIS post.
Only one comment per person please.
Have a happy Wednesday!

#87

I like to be pampered!
But, seriously, what girl doesn't? Right now I could use a nice back rub!
I like to be pampered so much that I have little ways to "Pamper Myself" when there is nobody else to do it for me. Here are my own little pampering moments:
1. Take a nap
2. Light candles
3. Put on lipgloss
4. Hot bath/shower
5. Play my favorite tunes
6. Rub my own feet
7. Eat a piece of dark chocolate
8. Play a game
9. Look at my favorite blogs
10. Quiet time

Weekend in Review

Did you ever notice the word PAIN is in Painting?
I am sure it is not there by coincidence!

My sweet friend Shelley was here all day on Saturday helping us paint and I couldn't find my camera while she was here.
She helped us finish the first coat in the living room (Caramelized Onion), the entire kitchen and dining room (Buttery Bread) and the guest bathroom (California Avocado).
Then, yesterday, Kevin and I spent the entire day on the faux finish in the living room with Lovely Bluff. We may add a third coat dabbing the Caramelized Onion back in. We haven't decided. And we still have 2 rooms left this week.
Ai yi yi.
